PCC Offers Summer Programs for Kids
June 5, 2012
Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College is for kids too!
Children 5-12 years old are invited to experience a unique learning opportunity at the College’s highly regarded Pima for Kids program.
Pima for Kids offers morning, afternoon and full-day academic enrichment programs at three PCC locations in the Tucson metro area. Sessions begin June 25 and continue through July 30.
Pima for Kids is the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the wonders of the STEM fields – science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The program’s STEM-based technology camps promote creative thinking and exploration through a variety of unique LEGO® kits.
Other topics include the arts, exercise and sports, dance, music, drama, cooking, forensics and more. These innovative programs are designed to nurture your child’s interests, introduce them to new ones, entertain and educate.
“This program offers a fun way for your child to pursue their passions and explore what they love,” said Maggie Romance, PCC’s Director of Instruction for Continuing Education. “It is also an excellent way for children to be exposed to the college atmosphere and opportunities.”
Pima for Kids has been offered through the Community Campus since 1997. For more information on Pima for Kids or to register, call (520) 206-6579 or go to www.pima.edu/continuinged.
