June 22, 2012
Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College Governing Board will hold a Special Meeting June 28 to discuss three organizations seeking to help the College find candidates to become chancellor.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Community Board Room (C-105) of PCC’s District Office, 4905 E. Broadway. An Executive Session is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Three finalists made presentations at the Governing Board’s Regular Meeting on June 20.
The lead presenters were:
- Dr. Preston Pulliams, Gold Hill Associates
- Narcisa Polonio, Ed.D., Association of Community College Trustees
- Elizabeth Rocklin, R.H. Perry & Associates
The public can watch videos of the presentations at http://www.pima.edu/about-pima/chancellor-search/index.html. The webpage also includes other resources related to the search process.
The three finalists were recommended by a screening committee that included College and external members. The screening committee reviewed responses to a Request for Proposal that the College posted on April 26 to identify an executive search firm through competitive bidding. Bids were due May 30.
Interim Chancellor Dr. Suzanne L. Miles announced in the spring that she will not seek the permanent chancellor's position.
