College plants native trees Feb. 14 to mark Arizona’s statehood centennial

On Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, each campus will plant a desert willow tree commemorating Arizona becoming a state on that day in 1912. The district ceremony is at 8:30 a.m. in front of building’s C & D, in the new desert garden. The time for each planting ceremony and PCC campus address is:
- 9:30 a.m.: Community Campus, 401 N. Bonita Ave., (520) 206-3933
- Noon: Downtown Campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave., (520) 206-7171; speakers and other displays
- 11 a.m.: Desert Vista Campus, 5901 S. Calle Santa Cruz, (520) 206-5000
- 10 a.m.: East Campus, 8181 E. Irvington Road, (520) 206-7000
- 9 a.m.: West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road, (520) 206-6600
- 10:30 a.m.: Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road, 206-2200
Media interested in attending a ceremony should call the campus to make arrangements.
A sign eventually will be placed by each tree reading:
