PCC's Carey NJCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Tucson, AZ – Aztecs sophomore guard Nadi Carey was named NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games Jan. 9-15.
Carey, a graduate of Canyon Del Oro High School, was honored for two triple-double efforts in three games. In PCC’s 93-76 win over South Plains College of Levelland, Texas, on Jan. 9, Carey scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds, 11 assists and six steals.
In a 73-60 loss to Eastern Arizona College on Jan. 11, she scored 17 points and had 10 assists. And, on Jan. 14, in a 74-63 win over Glendale Community College, Carey scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
PCC is 12-7 after losing to Arizona Western College on Jan. 18. The Aztecs play Saturday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
