PCC Hosts Fashion Show to Benefit Wings for Women
November 29, 2011
Tucson, AZ – Fashion design students at Pima Community College will show off their latest creations on Wednesday when they host a holiday fashion show at the West Campus.
PCC’s Fashion Apparel Association organized the fashion show to benefit Wings for Women, an organization that serves homeless women and children in Tucson.
“This event represents the synergy of fun and compassion,” said Nancy Spaulding, Fashion Design Instructor. “Our goal is to raise as much as we can to help women who need it.”
Half of the funds raised at the fashion show will go toward Wings for Women; the other half will go toward the Fashion Apparel Association’s field trip to Los Angeles. Donation bins also will be available to collect non-perishable food items, kitchenware, clothing, undergarments, toiletries and linens.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to purchase baked goods.
