PCC Hosts Reading, Book Signing by Local Poet

Tucson, AZ – Join us for a special event on Tuesday, Oct. 5. Native American Poet Sherwin Bitsui will read from his 2009 book, Flood Song, and sign books afterward.
Originally from the Navajo Reservation at White Cone, Arizona, Sherwin Bitsui currently makes his home in Tucson. He is described by critics as a powerful young talent, at the forefront of a new generation of Native writers. Bitsui was a recipient of a 2008 Tucson MOCA Local Genius Award, and his poetry has won many awards, including the 2010 American Book Award for Flood Song from the Before Columbus Foundation.
