College Updates
PCC monitoring swine flu situation The College is monitoring the swine flu outbreak through regular contact with Arizona, Pima County and federal authorities. To reduce the risk of spreading germs, practice good hygiene, including frequently washing hands and covering the face to sneeze or cough. The PCC Department of Public Safety’s Health Alerts web page contains information and links that will be updated regularly.
Draft Board Regulation and Standard Practice Guides for Review Drafts of Board Regulation, RG-3501/AA: Admissions and Registration (Interim) and Standard Practice Guides, SPG-1502/BA: Classification of Positions, SPG 3501/AA: Admissions and Registration (Interim) and SPG 4201/BB: Faculty Hiring Process, have been posted to the College policies website for review and public comment. They will remain on the web for comment until May 13, 2009.
2009-10 Benefits There are exciting changes for the July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010 Benefit Plan year. The College has contracted with Cigna Health Care to provide employee medical benefits for the 2009-2010 Benefit Plan year. The College will offer two plan designs that are very similar to the current HMO Buy-up and PPO offerings, entitled Cigna Open Access Plus In-Network and the Cigna Open Access Plus.
More information, including a schedule of information workshops, can be found online.
New College Voicemail System, Changeover May 15th, 2009 All College employees who have telephones with voicemail will need to create a new voicemail box in the new AVST voicemail system by 5 p.m. on May 15, 2009. Employees can set up a new voicemail box beginning at 7:00 a.m. on April 30. Instructions on setting up your new voicemail box and on using the new system are available online.
The old voicemail system will be removed from service at 5:00 p.m. on May 15, 2009. Employees will not be able to communicate with it after this date. Messages saved in the current voicemail system will not be moved to the new system. Employees are encouraged to clean out their existing voicemail box so they will not lose important information.
Please refer all questions to 206-2718 or telephone@pima.edu.
