College Updates

Volunteer at Graduation!
A limited number of volunteer opportunities are available for the May 21, 2009 Graduation ceremony. The time commitment varies from one and a half to three hours in the evening. Contact Craig Winters at 206-4719 if you are interested in volunteering.

Training: Live the Mission - Develop Yourself through Learning
These workshops provide essential knowledge and skills expected of College employees, including technology, ethics, performance measurement, safety, customer service, web design and interpersonal skills. Space is available - plan now to attend.

Pima People

  • Dr. Theresa Levy, Anthropology Faculty at the Downtown Campus, was selected by the Tucson Jazz Society to perform with her band on Sunday evening, May 3 at St. Phillip’s Plaza. The performance is titled “Bossa Nova and Beyond: A Tribute to Elis Regina.”
  • Joseph Mains, Writing Faculty at the Downtown Campus, recently published a poetry chapbook called To Life Don’s Life: A Film in 15 Creams through Scantily Clad Press.
  • Shannon McBride-Olson, Conrad Mendez, Bryce Morthland, Geneva Escobedo and Karen Lutrick won Paragon awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) for their work on College publications and video programs.
  • Dr. Jessica Knapp, Math Faculty at the Northwest Campus, was invited to publish her paper, “Appropriating New Definitions: The Case of Lipschitz Functions,” at the 2010 Joint Mathematical Meeting in San Francisco.
