Preps college vehicles, including, filling gasoline tanks and washing vehicles. Cleans motor pool area, delivers vehicles to campuses, completing appropriate paper work. Operates motor vehicles and drives to various locations within the college to deliver or pick up vehicles, and/or supplies. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have knowledge of: - Basics of customer service principles;
- General record keeping principles;
- Delivery principles, including driving laws and regulations;
- Safety procedures, to include interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);
- And applicable computer programs and equipment.
The successful candidate will have the following skills: - Ability to operate motor vehicles;
- Interpret information on packing lists, logs and other written documents;
- Read information on Material Safety Data Sheets;
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor and the general public, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Required Experience, Education and Licensing: High School Diploma, or general equivalency degree, and one year of customer service experience. Must be at least 18 years old, have valid Arizona driver’s license with a thirty-nine (39) month, clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Positions in this class typically require: balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, inclement weather and travel.
