| POSITION: | ADVANCED PROGRAM MANAGER | | SALARY: | $65,394 | GRADE: | C45 | | | This is an exempt position as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act. | | HOURS: | 37.5 per week, 12 months per year | | JOB NUMBER: | 08025BDS3 | | Closing Date: | AUGUST 22, 2008 4:45 p.m. MST | | CONTACT: | Brenda Demic, E-mail Address: BDemic@pima.edu | SUMMARY OF DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for planning and directing the activities and services of the Northeast and Southeast Centers and area sites; coordinating activities with other Pima campuses, college departments, community groups, businesses, agencies, and other local groups to determine specialized and emerging educational and training needs; coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs and services; developing and staffing all credit and non-credit course activity for the Centers and their sites; providing leadership for the Northeast and Southeast Centers in program development and delivery of services to the community; hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff and faculty; developing and managing a budget; use and maintenance of facilities; and providing highly responsible and complex support to the Dean of Instruction. QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience and/or ability to: - Build collaborative relationships with high schools, community groups, local businesses and professional organizations Implement innovative educational programs
- Determine educational and training needs
- Develop and coordinate class schedules
- Recruit and retain qualified faculty
- Foster an environment open to diverse ideas and viewpoints
Demonstrated skills in and/or knowledge of: - Organizational development principles, including, team building, developing flexible, cross-training work units, promoting effective working relationships at various organizational levels, and
- Distributed education systems, including the role of distance education in higher education.
Experience and Education - Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, business or related field, (Masters degree preferred) and
- Five years management experience in business or higher education including experience in development, design, implementation and evaluation of training and educational programs.
