ADJUNCT FACULTY – AVIATION TECHNOLOGY

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for teaching courses in Aviation Technology to a diverse student population.  Other duties include evaluating student performance, documenting attendance and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of: Aircraft and training aid maintenance.

Ability to: Teach a diverse group of students of varying competency levels and aptitudes; ability to maintain records and inventory; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Prepare students for the National Center for Aircraft Technician Training – Aircraft Electronics Technician exam.

Experience, Education and Licensing:  A FAA issued Airframe and specialty certification or Airframe and Powerplant certification mandatory for the FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School.  General Aviation and Transport Aircraft experience required.  Bachelor’s degree in any field plus 3 years work experience in field to be taught, or a license in field to be taught and 5 years work experience in the teaching field, or a recognized certification in field to be taught and 5 years work experience in the teaching field, or 64 semester credit hours in field to be taught and 5 years work experience in the teaching field or, Associate’s Degree in any field and 5 years work experience in the teaching field.
