Registration

Before an individual can take any GED exam, they must first register.  Registration for the GED test is done on a “walk-in” basis at Community Campus but is allowed only after you have completed GED 101 and/or have taken the GED Official Practice Test (OPT).

Testing Services Offered By Appointment Only:

GED Official Test

  • The first five GED testing appointments will be made at the time of registration.

  • Those needing to schedule a retest should click on the calendar link to see when the next testing session is scheduled, and then call (520) 206-6433 for an appointment. After a thirty (30) day waiting period, retesting may be permitted on the entire battery or the individual sections in the battery, but GED applicants must complete all sections of the GED Test before any retesting can begin. The availability of alternate test forms may limit the number of possible retests in a calendar year (January to December). NOTE: Successful GED recipients are not allowed to retest for a higher score unless a higher score is required for admission to post-secondary education, training, or to meet employment requirements. Documentation is required.

Registration Requirements

The following is required at the time of registration:

  • Government-issued identification with your picture, name, address, signature and date of birth (for example, a driver's license, passport book/card, state ID card).
  • A second identifying document (for example, Social Security card, certified copy (raised seal) of birth certificate, bank card with photo, voter ID card).
  • Written documentation verifying at least 450 average on GED Official Practice Test (minimum Reading, Writing, and Math) taken through an Adult Education provider.
  • GED Exam fee of $90.00 payable by cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card. If an external agency is paying, or you have a GED Testing Fee Scholarship, the voucher must be submitted at the time of registration. Refunds are on a case-by-case basis and only authorized for extreme circumstances.

If you are 16 or 17 years old, also bring:

  • proof that you have officially withdrawn from the last school you attended.
  • a notarized letter signed and dated by your parent or legal guardian permitting you to take the GED test. (Example: I, name of parent, give permission for my son/daughter, name of child, to take the GED Test. Signature: __________ Date: ________ Notary Public: _________ )
