Pima College Adult Education program (PCAE) offers classes in

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE - basic reading, writing and math)
  • GED high-school equivalency preparation
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • Citizenship preparation

A class schedule is available online as a PDF file. You can take classes at locations throughout the community. Pima also conducts GED (General Education Development - High School Equivalency) testing at three locations.

Study for your GED online!
Study at your own pace under the guidance of a professional GED teacher. We have two types of online classes:

  • Hybrid GED: Attend class once a week and work online six hours each week.
  • Supported GED: No  class attendance; work online eight hours each week.

To enroll in GED Online classes you are required to attend a GED orientation, a distance learning orientation, and take a placement test. Call 520-206-6500 for more information about studying for your GED online.

Pima Adult Basic Education also offers services through special projects that:

  • provide workplace training
  • teach civics
  • meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities and refugees
  • provide family literacy training

We invite you to take advantage of our services at convenient, neighborhood learning centers throughout Tucson.

If you are interested in volunteering for PCAE as a tutor or in any capacity, please contact us.
