About Northwest Campus
The Northwest Campus, which opened in fall 2003, has been a hit among students, faculty and the community right from the start. The first thing that strikes many is the sheer beauty of the campus, with its southwest-style architecture and sweeping vistas of the Tucson Mountains and surrounding environs.The cornerstone of the campus is the community partnerships and student-centered focus that went into planning the physical environment and, most importantly, the academic one. Pima Community College’s partners enable the Northwest Campus to provide a wide range of educational programs and services. The full array of transfer-oriented courses is available days, evenings and weekends. Students can achieve a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from Northern Arizona University without having to leave the campus. Through partnerships with the YMCA and Pima County, the campus benefits from the shared use of modern fitness and athletic facilities. Students may take a full range of wellness, recreation and dance classes at the YMCA right next door.
