Fall Creative Writing Weekend Workshops

Tucson, AZ – One weekend could take your writing to the next level. Writers of all levels are invited to attend a workshop focusing on creating original short fiction with author Joshua Cochran.

"Out of Chaos: The Art, Process, and Practice of Creating Original Short Fiction" will guide writers through original idea generation. At the end of the workshop, participants will have amassed a grand reservoir of short story ideas and writings, a clearer understanding of their own methodologies and a greater confidence when facing a blank page.

The Creative Writing weekend workshop will begin on Friday, Oct. 2 from 6 - 8 p.m. and continue Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 - 4 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at PCC’s West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road.

Other upcoming Creative Writing Weekend Workshops include “The Art and Craft of Authenticity: Writing Memorable Poems” with Steve Kowit, Oct. 23 - 25 and “Mastering Voice in Memoir: The Lyrical Seeker, the Plot-Driven Storyteller, the Thoughtful Adult” with Lisa Dale Norton, November 13 - 15.

Writing workshop participants can earn two college credits.  Tuition and student fees for are $117 for Arizona residents. 

Students can register in advance at any PCC campus.  Current and former PCC students can also register online through www.pima.edu.
