Rep. Raúl Grijalva to Deliver Keynote Address at All College Day
August 18, 2009 Tucson, AZ – U.S. Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva of Arizona will deliver the keynote address at All College Day, Pima Community College’s all-employee meeting on August 21. Rep. Grijalva, Congressional District 7’s representative in the U.S. House, will address about 1,300 PCC faculty, adjunct faculty and staff. Peter Smith, Ph.D., of the University of Arizona will be the Special Guest Speaker. Smith is the Principal Investigator of UA’s Phoenix mission to Mars. All College Day presentations, held at the West Campus, will begin at 8:45 a.m. and conclude with remarks by PCC Chancellor Dr. Roy Flores. PCC offices will be closed during the event. College offices will reopen at 1:00 p.m. for students to continue to register and pay for classes, as well as access other enrollment services. Online services will be available during the closure. All College Day marks the beginning of PCC’s academic year. The theme of this year’s event is “Overcoming Challenges.” CONTACT: A.
