Pima Writers’ Workshop
April 13, 2009 Pima Writers’ Workshop May 29 – 31, 2009 Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College (PCC) is hosting “Pima Writers’ Workshop,” designed for all writers, both beginning and experienced. The workshop will be led by award-winning authors and agents. Attendees will participate in writing exercises and consult with workshop leaders. Participants are also encouraged to meet with an author or agent for a manuscript consultation at no extra cost. In order to schedule a manuscript consultation writers must register for the entire conference and submit one manuscript with the registration form to the PCC West Campus Cashier’s Office by May 8, 2009. A reception for participants will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday May 28 at the Hotel Arizona, 181 W. Broadway Blvd. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29; 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30; and 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sunday May 31 at the PCC West Campus, Center for the Arts, 2202 W. Anklam Road. This workshop is being offered for a non-credit and credit option. Those interested in the non-credit option must send the $80 fee and registration form by May 8 (to have the manuscript reviewed) or by May 28 (if not having a manuscript reviewed). Those opting to receive college credit must send the registration form by May 8 (to have the manuscript reviewed) or by May 28 (if not having a manuscript reviewed). In addition, they must also register for Writing 285 (2 credits, Summer Session A, CRN 30011) at PCC and pay tuition and fees (Arizona residents - $99 tuition plus $18 fees; out-of-state - $322 tuition plus $18 fees).
