PCC Orchestra Concert, May 2 at 3 p.m.

The program consists of two major pieces for strings and two flutes: “Concerto Grosso in C” by Corelli and “Concerto Grosso in G” by Handel. Other program selections “Piano Concerto in F” by Haydn, second movement from the “Surprise” Symphony by Haydn, "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair" by Debussy and “Farandole” from L'Arlesienne Suite by Bizet. The PCC Orchestra is made up of high school students, college students and community adults. Tentser came to America in 1990 from the highly recognized Gnessin Music Institute in Moscow, Russia. He directs the PCC Orchestra and teaches piano at PCC. The PCC Orchestra Concert is open to the public. Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts box office, located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown on St. Mary’s Road).
