tickets: $6 with discounts Tucson, AZ - Pima Community College performing arts department is pleased to present the PCC Jazz Ensemble in concert, under the direction of Mike Kuhn. The 18-piece big band performs a tribute to Count Basie with the tunes “The Heat's On,” “Lil Darling” and “Lonely Street.” Other pieces include an arrangement of the Beatles “Norwegian Wood” as played by Buddy Rich, the Latin tunes “Dindi” by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and “Latino Love Walk” by Maynard Ferguson. In addition to instructing jazz ensemble and improvisation classes at PCC, Mike Kuhn plays the jazz saxophone with the Arizona Jazz Orchestra and performs in a variety of venues around the greater Tucson area. The Jazz Ensemble Concert is open to the public. Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts box office, located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown on St. Mary’s Road).
