Tucson, AZ - Pima Community College performing arts department presents “A Dancer’s Life” with the dance drama “A Bug’s Adventure.” The concert is under the direction of Kristin Eberhardt and features PCC student dancers.

“A Dancer’s Life” features a reflective composition of the different ways dancers live their lives as told through student choreographer’s eyes. Choreographers are Laura Garcia, Thommy Pena, Michelle Gagne, Alejandra Grijalva, Elizabeth Quiroz, LaShandria Redman and Ashley Greensmith.

In the second half of the program the dancers perform the family dance drama “A Bug’s Adventure,” weaving the saga of an ant named Flex (short for flexible) who goes on a quest to help save the ant colony. The story teaches how teamwork can help conquer obstacles. Dancers include Alejandra Grijalva, Ashley Greensmith, Bailey Moreno, Carole McCulley, Carolina Ceballos, Diana Acosta, Elizabeth Quiroz, Isela Mata, Kathren Cuny, LaShandria Redman, Laura Garcia, Laurel Alexander, Melina Martinez, Michelle Gagne, Monique Lopez, and Thommy Pena. (Pena danced on Broadway in the “Lion King” when he was young.)
