Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College performing arts department presents the Chorale & College Singers in concert under the direction of Benjamin Sorenson. The Chorale, a large mixed-voice choir, will sing a medley of songs by Richard Rodgers. Program selections to be sung by the College Singers, a smaller mixed-voice choir, include the rarely performed “Wedding Cantata” by Daniel Pinkham and “Paddlin’ Madelin’ Home” by Harry Woods Sorenson has been directing the Chorale & College Singers since 1978. He performs regularly with the Arizona Opera Company and has prepared choruses professionally for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Opera Company. The PCC Chorale & College Singers concert is open to the public. PCC Center for the Arts is located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown on St. Mary’s Road).
