Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College (PCC) is hosting Earth Day 2009 on Wednesday April 22, 2009. The annual family-friendly event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the Second Level at the College’s Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road

Participants will learn about native plants and animals, conservation, recycling, astronomy and geology through displays by government agencies and nonprofit organizations.

The free event will also feature a giant sundial and participants will enjoy food cooked in a solar oven.
