College Hosts Candidate Debates
July 15, 2008Pima Community College will host a series of candidate debates in advance of the September primary elections. The debates are sponsored by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. The first debate on Thursday, July 17, will feature Democratic Party candidates for the two House of Representative seats from District 29. Those candidates include Eric Carbajal Bustamante, Ephraim Cruz, Gil Guerra, Matt Heinz, Daniel Patterson, Patricia Anne Puig and incumbent Tom Prezelski. Other upcoming debates will feature Democratic Party candidates for the House in District 27 on Tuesday, July 22 and Republic Party candidates for the House in District 30 on Thursday, July 24. Each debate will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Community Room. The Community Room is located at the College’s District offices, 4509 E. Broadway Blvd. Christopher Conover, reporter and political expert for KUAT’s Arizona Illustrated, will serve as moderator.
