Pieroway named Men's Basketball Coach
June 12, 2008Pima Community College has named Karl Pieroway as head coach of Men’s Basketball. Pieroway was named Southern Arizona Coach of the Year in 2007 after he led Ironwood Ridge High School’s basketball team to the regional tournament four years in a row, including AAAA State Runner-Up in 2007. Pieroway’s coaching career has also included Benson High School and Green Fields Country Day School. He has been involved in youth athletics, including Velocity Sports Training and the Sporting Chance AAU Basketball programs in Tucson. Pieroway is currently a math teacher for the Amphitheater School District. He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, both from the University of Arizona.
