Soto Named Executive Director for Athletics

Pima Community College has named Edgar Soto as Executive Director of Athletics.

Soto has been the the College’s Head Baseball Coach since 1998.  He had been Acting Executive of Athletics since June. 

From 2005- 2007, he was a K-12 Outreach Coordinator.  Soto has been an adjunct faculty member since 1998 and was Assistant Baseball Coach from 1995- 1998.

Before joining PCC, Soto was a middle school teacher with the Tucson Unified School District from 1994 – 1998.  He also served as Head Baseball Coach of the 2005 USA Baseball Junior National Team and as an Assistant Coach for the 2001 USA Baseball Junior National Team.

Soto has a Master of Education in Bilingual/Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University. He holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology and Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico.
