Wind Ensemble Concert March

The Pima Community College Wind Ensemble will perform a concert of band classics at the West Campus Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. 

Under the direction of Dr. Mark Nelson, the ensemble program will include the “Hounds of Spring” by Alfred Reed, “Colonial Song” by Percy Grainger, “Variations on a Korean Folk Song” by John Barnes Chance, “Ritual Fire Dance” by Manuel De Falla, and “Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral” by Richard Wagner.

Student saxophonist Zachary Brennan will be the featured soloist in Laszlo Veres's arrangement of “Valse Vanite” by R. Weidoft.  Small ensembles featuring the percussion section, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and brass ensemble round out the program.
