Write, Write, Write Weekend Workshop
January 31, 2008Pima Community College will offer a weekend writing workshop designed to stimulate creativity and enhance writing skills. "Write, Write, Write," February 29 to March 2, will be led by award winning poet, essayist and author Sheila Bender. Bender is a former contributing editor to Writer’s Digest Magazine and has written eight instructional books on writing. Workshop participants will learn reducing writing stress exercises along with ways to reinvigorate a sense of play. They will also create journal entries, poems, essays and articles, and other writing exercises. The workshop will meet Friday, February 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The workshop will meet at Pima Community College's West Campus, 2202 West Anklam Road. Cost of the workshop is $109 for in-state students and includes student services and processing fees. Participants will be eligible to earn 2 college credits. Advance registration for the workshop, Writing 298T5, is required. Participants can register in person at any PCC campus by phone at (520) 206-4880.
