January 31, 2008

Pima Community College will host a series of information nights designed for parents of high school students with special education needs who plan on transitioning to college.

The information sessions with PCC Disabled Student Resource specialists will give parents and students a better understanding of what to expect in college.   Participants will receive information on differences between high school and college-level disability services, as well as the Family Rights and Privacy Act and requesting accommodation at Pima Community College.

Each session will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The first information session will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6  in the Community Room at the Downtown Campus, 1225 N. Stone Avenue.

Another session will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Northwest Campus Community Room, 7600 N. Shannon Road in A Building, Room 207.

The session on Tuesday, Feb. 12,  will be at the East Campus, 8181 E. Irvington Road, in Room 101 of the Student Center.
