Dr. Robert Riza Named Acting Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Services

Pima Community College has named Dr. Robert Riza as acting Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Services.

Riza has been the College's Executive Director of Athletics since 2005.  Before joining PCC, Riza was the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas from 2003-2004, where he also served as Director of Student Life and Athletic Director from 1999-2003.

Riza holds an Ed.D. in higher education and a Master of Science degree in secondary and higher education, both from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sports science from Weatherford College in Texas.

Riza has been a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics since 2002 and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education. He also sits on the executive board for Activate Tucson, a community project headed by the Tucson YMCA that explores youth fitness and overcoming obesity.
