PCC names Gifford Senior Executive Assistant to the Chancellor

Pima Community College has named Donna Gifford Senior Executive Assistant to the Chancellor.

Gifford has been a faculty member in astronomy at the College’s Downtown Campus since 1999.  She is the College’s Lead Faculty in astronomy. She was the acting division dean at the Downtown Campus for the Science and Communication Arts Division in 2004.

Prior to teaching at PCC, Gifford served as a technology training coordinator at Sunnyside Unified School District. She was also a clinical assistant professor at UA and a science teacher at Palominas Public Schools in Hereford, Ariz.

Gifford was recognized with the PCC Outstanding Faculty Award in 2003 and is a two-time winner of the Downtown Campus GEM Award.

Gifford holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Master of Science degree in astronomy, both from the University of Arizona.
