Brigid Murphy Named as Dean of Instruction at Northwest Campus

Pima Community College has named Brigid Murphy as Dean of Instruction at the College’s Northwest Campus. Murphy had previously been the Division Dean of Arts, Communications and Humanities at the College’s West Campus.

Murphy began teaching at Pima Community College in 1995 as an adjunct faculty member. From 1999-2005, she taught writing and the Honors colloquium at the College’s East and West campuses. Murphy was also the acting Instructional Division Dean of the Science and Communication Arts at the Downtown Campus.

Before coming to PCC, Murphy taught communications at Palm Beach Community College in Florida and English at El Paso Community College in Texas.

Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Montana State University and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Texas in El Paso.
