Gers Appointed to Position at Desert Vista Campus

Dr. Simone Gers has been appointed acting division dean of instruction for Occupational Programs at Pima Community College’s Desert Vista Campus.

Gers joined PCC in 1997.  She has been a writing instructor at the College’s East campus since 2005.  Dr. Gers holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees, both in Literature, from the University of Houston.  She holds a Ph.D. in Language, Reading and Culture from the University of Arizona.

Dr Gers is one of three faculty members and one program director within the College recently appointed to acting division dean positions at various campuses.
