PCC Foundation Elects New Officers
May 21, 2007The Pima Community College Foundation has elected new officers and a chair for its Board of Directors for 2007. The voluntary board of directors governs the PCC Foundation, which secures and manages private philanthropic support for students and the College. Marc Fleischman was elected Chair of the Board. Fleischman, a partner with Beach, Fleischman & Co., will serve a one-year term. Other newly-elected officers include Chair-Elect Mark Ziska of Chief People Officer, Vice Chair Mary Rowley of StrongPoint Public Relations, Secretary Jim Stith of Sav-On Flowers, Treasurer Robert Ramirez of Vantage West Credit Union and Immediate Past Chair Sherry Hall of Schannep Investment Advisors. Cheryl House, CFRE, is executive director. In addition, Ed Foster, director of hotel operations for the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise and Juan Ciscomani, representative of the PCC Alumni Association, have been elected to serve on the Board. Together with donors and partnerships, the Foundation purchases equipment, funds special projects and annually awards more than $700,000 in student scholarships.
