College Achieves "Excellence" in Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting to Pima Community College for its 2006 comprehensive annual financial report.  The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. 

According to the Government Finance Officers Association, the College's report was judged by an impartial panel "to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story."

The Government Finance Officers Association is a non-profit association serving approximately 16,000 government finance professionals.
