PCC Writers Workshop May 25-27
April 23, 2007 Pima Community College will hold its annual Pima Writers’ Workshop May 25-27 at the College’s West Campus Center for the Arts, 2202 W. Anklam Road. The workshop, now in its 19th year, provides all writers, beginning or experienced, opportunities to learn new techniques, consult with professional writers, editors and agents, as well as to write. This year will feature nationally-recognized authors and literary agents including Emmanuelle Alspaugh, Stephen Barbara, Cherryl Clark, Kate Gale, Richard Garcia, Laila Hallaby, Masha Hamilton, Nancy Mairs, Donna Steiner, Jim Tomlinson and Evelyn White. A reception where participants can meet the authors, set up appointments for manuscript consultation and hear a reading, will precede the workshop on May 24. There is no extra fee for a manuscript consultation, but participants must register for the entire conference and submit a manuscript by May 8. Manuscripts must be typed, double-spaced and no longer than 20 pages. The cost of the workshop is $75. Arizona residents can take the workshop for two credits for $117 including fees.
