Phi Theta Kappa Brings Home Prestigious Awards

The Pima Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, picked up three chapter awards and one individual award at the 89th Annual Phi Theta Kappa International Convention, which took place in Nashville, April 12-14.

During the Hallmark Awards, the PCC chapter, Alpha Beta Chi, was named one of the 25 Distinguished Chapters in Phi Theta Kappa and a top 100 chapter.

Alpha Beta Chi also picked up a Scholarship Hallmark Award and a Leadership Hallmark Award for its outstanding academic and leadership achievements.

PCC Community Campus advisor Beth Hunter was awarded the Robert Giles Distinguished Advisor award, given to outstanding advisors who have served for five years or longer.

The Hallmark Awards Program is Phi Theta Kappa’s capstone awards competition annually recognizing excellence in programs that promote the society’s hallmarks of scholarship, leadership and service and fellowship.
