PCC Presents Opera Scenes April 27-28

Pima Community College performing arts department presents OperaPima Opera Scenes Friday and Saturday, April 27-28.  Opera Scenes is a sampler platter of fully staged and costumed scenes and large ensembles presented from popular and well-loved operas and musicals.  Performances will be in the Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre.

Under the musical direction of Dean Schoff and stage direction of Anna Schoff, OperaPima Opera Scenes is the culmination of concentrated classroom study of operas, musicals, voice, acting and stagecraft.  Performances feature selections from “Porgy and Bess,” “Don Pasquale,” “Pearl Fishers,” “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” “West Side Story,” “Cabaret,” “Hamlet,” “Die Fledermaus,” “Lucia di Lammermoor,” “Tosca,” and “Abduction from the Seraglio.”

Tickets for OperaPima Opera Scenes performances are $5- $6.  Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts box office at 206-6986.
