Jazz Ensemble Performs Tuesday, April 23

The Pima Community College Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert,  Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre.

The performing arts department's 18-piece Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Mike Kuhn, features a big-band sound.  The Ensemble will perform standards from early swing through modern styles.  Concert selections include: “Medium Rare” by Bob Seibert, “Shiny Stockings” by Frank Foster, “Peter Gunn” by Henry Mancini, “Inside Track” by Larry Muhoberac, “Early Dues” by John La Porta, “Los Dedos de los Pies” by Manuel Ortega and “Medium Rare” by Bob Seibert.

In addition to instructing jazz ensemble and improvisation classes at PCC, Mike Kuhn plays saxophone with the Arizona Jazz Orchestra and performs in a variety of venues around the greater Tucson area.

Jazz Ensemble Concert tickets are $5-$6 and are available through the Center for the Arts box office at 520-206-6986.
