New Associate degree in Digital Games and Simulations Programming

Pima Community College has added a new Associate of Applied Science degree in Digital Games and Simulations Development to its list of available degrees and occupational programs.

The degree will provide students with necessary skills to design and develop computer games and simulations.

Students will learn programming-based skills in console systems, personal computers, handheld digital devices, multi-player online games and computer-based casino games.

Upon completion, the degree can be used to transfer to four-year, technology-focused institution such as DeVry University, the Art Institute of Phoenix, ITT Tech and the University of Advanced Technology.

Students with education and training in digital games can become game play tester, game designers, game programmer and game software engineers, among other options.
