Free Writing Workshops at Nanini Branch Library
March 14, 2007Pima Community College writing faculty will participate in the Nanini Library free Art of Writing Series in March and April. The workshops will be held at the Pima County Library Nanini Branch, 7300 N. Shannon Road. Ken Vorndran will lead the workshop on fiction writing from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. Vorndran is a published author of essays, fiction and poetry in magazines and newspapers. Patricia Leverentz will instruct a workshop on memoir writing from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31. Leverentz has been teaching college writing for 10 years, including six years at PCC. She has coauthored and edited two family memoirs and is experienced in genealogical research. Steven Salmoni will lead the poetry workshop from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 7. Salmoni teaches creative writing at PCC and is currently working on a book about the travel writings of Henry James. The workshops are free and open to the public.
