PCC Chorale and College Singers Concert March 22
March 13, 2007The Pima Community College Chorale & College Singers, under the direction of Benjamin Sorenson, will perform a concert at the Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre on Thursday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. The Chorale, a large mixed-voice choir, and the College Singers, a small mixed-voice choir, will sing several selections each. The program will inlcude “Ain'-a That Good News” by William L. Dawson, “Cantique de Jean Racine” by Gabriel Faure, “Black Is The Color” arranged by Norman Luboff, “Danny Boy” arranged by Linda Steen Spevacek, and “Piccolomini Mass” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Sorenson has been directing the Chorale & College Singers since 1978. He performs regularly with the Arizona Opera Company and has prepared choruses professionally for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Opera Company. Tickets for the Chorale & College Singers concert are $6 for general admission and $5 for students, seniors and PCC affiliates.
