Martinez Sanchez Named Dean of Instruction at East Campus
March 21, 2007Pima Community College has appointed Dr. Mary Ann Martinez Sanchez as Dean of Instruction at the College’s East Campus. Dr. Martinez Sanchez began teaching at Pima Community College in 1996 as a full-time faculty member in Psychology. Her leadership experience includes serving as president of the Faculty Senate and as faculty representative to the Board of Governors. She has also served as lead faculty and Behavioral Sciences Department chair. She is currently serving an administrative internship in the College’s Provost Office. Before coming to PCC, Dr. Martinez Sanchez worked as a psychologist for the Madison Center in South Bend, Indiana and as a psychology intern at the University of Notre Dame's counseling center. Dr. Martinez Sanchez is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Western Psychological Association and Psychology Teachers at Community Colleges. Dr. Martinez Sanchez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics from Duke University, a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy, both in Counseling Psychology, from the University of Notre Dame.
