Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB) Education Center

The DMAFB Education Center on-base offers more than 50 courses each term.  The center serves both active duty U.S. Air Force personnel and the general public. 

PCC classes at Davis-Monthan:

  • run for eight-week terms
  • meet in the evening or on weekends
  • include some self-paced classes
  • lead to a two-year Liberal Arts or Associate of Business Administration degree for transfer to a university
  • fulfill the Arizona General Education Curriculum that meets lower-division requirements for transfer to an Arizona state university

Courses that are 100-level or above will transfer to the Community College of the Air Force and other colleges and universities.  PCC advisors are available on-site.   A library for student use along with other student services are available.

Access to the Base
All Pima students attending classes at Davis-Monthan AFB must show proof of US citizenship to enter the base.  The only acceptable proofs of US citizenship are one of the following:

  1. original birth certificate with raised seal
  2. current US passport, or
  3. Naturalization papers for naturalized citizens

In addition, students driving vehicles onto the base must show their Pima class registration, driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and vehicle registration.

Passes for entry to the Base can be obtained at the Visitor's Center at the Craycroft/Golf Links Gate Monday-Friday between 7am and 7pm.  Students are urged to accomplish this up to two weeks before classes start.

Background Checks
To meet Homeland Security regulations, the government will conduct any background checks it deems appropriate to maintain law and order and ensure the security of the personnel and property on the installation.    All Pima College students enrolled in any course offered at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base must undergo a criminal background check to gain permission to enter the Base.  The College will provide DMAFB Security Personnel the name and date of birth of all students enrolled at the Base just prior to the start of the semester.
