Aztec Middle College
Aztec Middle College (AMC) provides an opportunity for students to complete high school while dually enrolled in a community college. AMC is located on the West, East, Northwest, and Desert Vista campuses. Each campus program has between 25-30 students each semester. About the program: Aztec Middle College students are enrolled in a full high school class schedule. Aztec features small classes, workshops, computer assisted learning, and individualized academic plans. Students are required to earn a minimum of 2 and one-half credits (2 of which must be non- elective credits) per semester. Aztec Middle College students will simultaneously be enrolled in at least of 1 Pima Community College course each semester. Students are responsible for paying PCC tuition. Some scholarships are available. Admission requirements Prospective Aztec Middle College students: - must be between 17 and 21 years of age and have completed a minimum of 10 high school credits.
- must attend an orientation, complete an application packet, which includes 150-200 word essay. The student must submit a copy of all high school transcripts, a high school drop form, current immunization records, and a birth certificate.
- must complete and submit a Pima Community College application, take the Pima Community College assessments and attend a new student orientation.
