Honors - Competitions and Awards
For applications forms for the awards below, contact any Campus Honors Program Coordinator. All applications for the upcoming Spring semester must be submitted by the 2nd Friday in February.Scholar Competition Honors Program students in good standing can submit projects to this competition. First prize is $300; second prize is $200. You may enter in one of three categories: - Literary: Three poems or one short story or an essay
- Science/Technology: An original scientific work
- Art: An original work of art (music, painting, sculpture, photography, drama, etc.)
Scholar Award The Honors Program offers this one-time, $250 award to Honors Program students who: - Complete the HON 101: Honors Colloquium
- Complete at least one other Honors Program course, including contract courses
- Participate in community service/learning projects
