Scholarships
With a gift of at least $1,000, you can establish a named scholarship that supports deserving students. You determine: - the type and basic terms of the scholarship.
- the name of the scholarship.
- the amount of the award.
- the criteria for selecting the recipient.
- how often the scholarship is awarded.
The Foundation recommends establishing a scholarship that covers resident tuition and fees for one year. For 2008-2009 that comes out to $1,284. You can establish a scholarship fund - as an endowment in which the principal remains intact and investment returns are used for the award. A minimum gift of $10,000 is required to establish an endowment.
- as a annual award which is issued on a continuing basis or for a designated time period.
Students can apply for Pima Community College Foundation scholarships by completing the online Scholarship Application.
