Fall 2009 Disbursement of Financial Aid
The first Fall Semester disbursement of financial aid to student accounts occurs on August 17, 2009. If a student has been awarded the Pell Grant, they will be paid 65% of their eligibility for the semester at this time. The remaining 35% will be disbursed Sept. 8, 2009.
Remember, the amount offered is based on your full-time enrollment (12 credits). If you enroll in less than that, the grant amount will be adjusted.
NOTE: If you have a FAFSA on file and all your requirements have been met, your enrollment will not be deleted due to the August 14 payment deadline.
Financial Aid Loans Loans are generally disbursed on the same dates, assuming all steps to complete the loan process are completed in a timely manner. However, students can accept their loans at any time so loan funds can really come in at any time after this date.
Per Federal guidelines, first time borrowers will have a 30 day delay in their loan disbursement. Disbursement for these students will occur around Sept. 25, 2009.
Tuition and Remaining Funds Once tuition is paid, any excess funds will be mailed to your local address. This will occur 3-5 days after the disbursement. To view the address on record, log into MyPima and click on the Update Personal Information link in the Home Tab "PCC Quick Links" section.
