Cable TV and Web

Who ever thought Cable TV could be so educational?  At Pima Community College, you'll find our "Television and Web" classes are a convenient way to learn.

Classes are presented on cable television in a documentary or lecture format.  These classes may be taken in your own home on cable television.  [Broadcast schedules:  Cox channel 95 / Comcast channel 97  |  Cox channel 121 & Comcast channel 96]

Telecourses are "regular" community college classes. Students may meet face-to-face with instructors a few times during the semester, during introductory sessions and reviews before exams. Otherwise, contact with the instructor is via telephone, mail, e-mail, etc.  Exams are available online.

Some TV lessons may be shown twice a week, each week, with different lessons each time. Some lessons may only be shown once a week. Check your syllabus for the broadcast schedule. Some students tape the lessons on their VCRs for later viewing.

NOTE: Not all courses are shown on all channels. If you have questions about broadcasts or specific cable TV providers, call the Community Campus Telecommunications Office - 206-6410.
