About Desert Vista
Since its opening in fall 1993, Desert Vista has provided a warm, friendly, stimulating environment with its richly diverse student body and staff. Its setting on a Hohokam archaeological site and special cultural classes make visitors mindful of the cultures that have nurtured the area’s development over more than 1,500 years.Desert Vista offers top-quality, state-of-the-art training in the high-tech fields of aviation and computers. Students also can find culinary arts, early childhood education and a wealth of other educational programs. Partnerships have enhanced both Desert Vista and the community. The city of Tucson shares its comprehensive fitness center and athletic fields with Pima students. The Tucson International Airport provides space for the college’s Aviation Technology Center. Pima College provides workforce training for local businesses at its Center for Training and Development. Vision Charter High School helps secondary students transition into higher education.
