Ranger Challenge
This course is MLS 103, which replaces the standard physical training course with a more intense, team-oriented experience. The daily training aims to create a smoothly operating squad. Individuals develop physical strength and stamina. Additional training allows them to develop marksmanship, patrolling, rope skills and endurance.
The course ends in a grueling four-day team competition conducted at various military installations around the state where teams compete for the Ranger Challenge title.
The class meets Monday-Friday, 5:30-7 a.m., at the University of Arizona. It is held every fall semester and may be repeated.
Master Sergeant Varble coaches the class.
